Guided Walking Tour of Antigua
Wander through Antigua's cobblestone streets with a local guide who brings the city's layered history to life; from its founding as the colonial capital of Central America to the earthquakes that left it in the romantic ruin you see today. You'll pass baroque church facades, hidden courtyards, and the city's iconic arch, learning the stories behind the architecture as you go. It's the perfect first taste of Antigua before you're set loose to explore on your own.
Coffee Farm Tour
Guatemala's volcanic soil and high-altitude microclimates make it one of the world's great coffee-growing regions, and this tour takes you straight to the source. You'll walk the rows of a working finca, learn how beans go from cherry to cup, and finish with a tasting of coffee grown just steps from where you're standing.
Cooking Class
Learn to make traditional Guatemalan dishes hands-on, from fresh tortillas to rich, slow-simmered stews built on corn, beans, and local herbs. It's a hands-on window into the flavors you've been tasting all trip and a few recipes to bring home with you.
Cerro de la Cruz
A short climb above Antigua rewards you with the city's best view; red-tiled rooftops, church domes, and Volcán de Agua rising in the distance. It's a quick stop, but one of the most photographed vistas in Guatemala for good reason.

San Marcos & San Juan Visits
These two lakeside villages couldn't feel more different. San Marcos is known for its slow, spiritual pace; meditation, yoga, and lakefront calm; while San Juan is a hub for weaving cooperatives and natural-dye artisans keeping Mayan textile traditions alive.
Lake Atitlan Nature Reserve & Butterfly Garden
Just outside Panajachel, this reserve is home to walking trails, hanging bridges, and a butterfly garden where dozens of native species flutter freely around you. It's a lush, easy-paced stop. It's a chance to slow down and take in the jungle before heading back to the lake.
Full Day at the Lake
A day with no agenda but the water itself: boating between villages, swimming in Atitlán's cool, volcanic-blue depths, or simply sitting lakeside with the volcanoes as your backdrop. After days of temples, markets, and textiles, this is the built-in free time the UNtour is known for.
